We’re pleased to announce local numbers in capital cities across Australia to help make it easier to call Readysell. If you’re outside of Sydney, you should now have a more cost effective way of reaching Readysell by calling us in your nearest city.
All the new phone numbers are now listed on our web site. If you’ve traditionally had to pay STD rates to reach Readysell, we recommend you update your records with the number that’s best for you.
We’ve heard feedback from customers that bringing new users onto Readysell can sometimes be a challenge.
Over the last year we’ve been putting a lot of emphasis on improving our documentation to make onboarding and upskilling easier. Today we’d like to announce the next stage of our campaign to improve user proficiency and productivity, the Readysell training video library.
The library currently consists of over 100 videos covering a wide range of topics. We’ve aligned our videos closely to the Readysell Training Guide, allowing users to follow along with our written documentation and to easily get more information if and when they require it.
Whether you’re looking to improve your skills or to bring on a new staff member, the training video library should be your first port of call.
You have 3 options of accessing the video library:
YouTube
We’ve updated our YouTube channel with all of our training videos. They have been arranged by topic area into playlists. Just search for “Readysell” on YouTube or use the link on the Readysell home page.
Office Brands University
We’ve worked in collaboration with Office Brands to provide our training video library on Office Brands University. Just click the “Office Brands University” button from My Portal and find the “Readysell Training” category.
Readysell Wiki
Throughout the Readysell Wiki you will notice relevant videos embedded into our existing content. Whether you’re progressing through the training guide, or looking at a specific how-to page, if we’ve recorded a video on the topic, we’ll make it available to you right there.
We’d love to hear your feedback about how useful these videos are and where we can make improvements or new videos in the future.

In Readysell 8.31, rolling out to all of our Readysell 8 customers over the next few days, we’ve focussed on under-the-hood improvements to help with performance and reliability. We have, however, managed to slip in a few new features to tide you over until our next release.
Empower your delivery drivers with the Readysell Mobile app
We’ve added deliveries to the Readysell mobile app. Delivery drivers can access delivery runs created in Readysell and accept proof of delivery from customers. You can even keep track of where deliveries are up to right from within Readysell! We’ve put together a short instructional video to get you started with this feature. Click here to learn more about or to download the Readysell Mobile app.
Keep information at your fingertips with improved Office Brands integration
Improved integration with the Office Brands data portal means you can now access your product’s attribute, cross-sell and up-sell data right from your Readysell product file. Right now, your sales and customer service reprentatives can use this information to help better serve your customers and in future versions we will be allowing you to make better use of this information in your sales process.
Better organize your customers and suppliers with card file improvements
You can now attach an image to a Readysell card to identify a company or individual. We’ve even improved our “Send Contacts to Outlook” feature to automatically add this image to your Microsoft Outlook® address book and have it show when you send or receive emails or accept phone calls from your customers.
Improve staff efficiency with user experience improvements
We’ve updated the default look and feel of Readysell to match the Microsoft Office® 2016 suite of applications. This means your users will feel comfortable when switching between Office® applications and Readysell.

Automated updating of product data in Readysell 7
We previously announced that Readysell 7 customers have access to automated updates of product data from Office Brands. For those not yet making use of this feature, we’d like to send out a quick reminder.

We’re spending the first portion of 2016 working on small requests, improvements and quality improvements to Readysell 8. As such, the release of 8.31 (more details on that in the next couple of days) will be the last major update for a period of time.
As we ramp up again for development, we will send out a short plan/roadmap to give you an idea of what we plan to implement in 2016.
Update on Windows 10
Last year wenotified you about Readysell’s support for and policy on Windows 10. We’d like to re-iterate our policy as a number of customers have landed themselves in trouble by not following the procedure.
Before you embark on upgrading any PCs in your business, please keep the following in mind:
We do NOT recommend doing any OS upgrades on machines used as servers
It’s safest to upgrade one PC at a time to minimize the impact of any expected or unexpected downtime
The best time to upgrade is after hours or non-working days, as this introduces the least amount of disruption
If you have any questions about Windows 10, our support staff will be more than happy to help out. Just open a support ticket and we’ll be right on the case.
Due to a severe thunderstorm that swept the area yesterday, Readysell’s office is without electricity today and will be closed.
If you require critical or emergency support, please call 02 9792 4439. For all other support queries, please lodge a ticket at our Support Centre and we’ll endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
At this stage, we don’t have an ETA on when the situation will be resolved, but we will send out another update should it continue beyond today.
It always seems to creep faster than we’d like, and this year is no exception. Christmas and the New Year is nearly upon us and we’d like to take some time to reflect on the year that has passed, express our thanks and gratitude to our valuable customers and inform you of our arrangements for the holiday season.
The Readysell office will be closed this year from Monday 21st of December, 2015. Business will resume on Monday 4th of January, 2016. Members of our support team will be available during this period for critical or emergency support issues only.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to highlight some of the larger changes and events from 2015.
There’s plenty more planned for 2016, so stay tuned for announcements over the coming months.
Thank you to all of our customers for your ongoing business, thoughtful feedback and support. We wish you all a merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!
Earlier in the year we notified you about Readysell’s support for and policy on Windows 10. We’d like to take the time to update you on Windows 10 and expand on our previous notification.
Since it’s launch on July 29th, Windows 10 has been installed on an unprecedented 148 million PCs worldwide and has already received it’s first major update. Based on our experience with the operating system, we believe Windows 10 is a worthwhile upgrade for any workstations in your organization.
Before you embark on upgrading any PCs in your business though, we suggest you keep the following in mind:
We do NOT recommend doing any OS upgrades on machines used as servers
It’s safest to upgrade one PC at a time to minimize the impact of any expected or unexpected downtime
The best time to upgrade is after hours or non-working days, as this introduces the least amount of disruption

In Readysell 8.30 we introduced Readysell Payroll, powered by KeyPay. Readysell Payroll is an online payroll system designed to make payroll simpler. It’s quick to set up, easy to use, affordable and fully integrated into your Readysell 8 system.
What’s Included?
With unique features such as a cloud-based employee portal, time and attendance and automated superannuation, Readysell Payroll can drastically reduce your payroll overheads.
Compliant Awards
Use our growing library of modern awards to automate your payroll compliance.
For our Readysell 8 customers utilising our auto-warehousing features, we’d like to make you aware of a change in the logic around how back orders are handled that will be in place starting tomorrow. This change is necessary to ensure consistency within Readysell and to make auto-warehousing work with additional customer back order scenarios.
If a customer card was set to not allow sales back orders, auto-warehousing used to wait until 100% of the sale order was allocated. In some cases this was not be ideal. As a result, we have changed the way Auto-warehouse handles customers that do not allow sales back orders. There are now two ways of handling customers that don’t want back orders:
Turn off the Back Order Allowed check-box
As soon as one shipment is posted for the sale order, the sale order’s status will be changed to “Cancelled“
Any order lines that were not supplied by the first sale shipment will never be supplied
Auto-warehousing will:
wait until the sale order reaches the Min Allocation %, just like any other orders
wait after releasing one shipment. It will not release any more shipments for the order as long as one shipment exists for the order
Set the Max Shipments/Sale to 1
The system will not allow any shipments for the order until all of the lines on the order are fully allocated
Once all the lines are allocated, Auto-warehouse will release a sale shipment for the full amount ordered on all the sale order lines
More details (including screenshots of where to find these settings) can be found on our wiki.
